This is a great fall time recipe from my sweet friend Allison. I made these twice last week for a couple different gatherings. This is a great recipe to entertain with since you can pop it in the oven right before you sit down to eat dinner and it is ready to go by the time you are finished eating.
2 Granny Smith apples 2 cans crescent rolls 1 cup butter 2 cups sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 10 ounces Mt. Dew cinnamon
Peel and slice apples into 16 slices. Roll 1 apple slice into each crescent roll and place in 13X9 baking dish. Melt butter, sugar, and vanilla in sauce pan (do not carmelize- just enough to melt sugar). Pour mixture over rolls, sprinkle wtih cinnamon, then pour Mt. Dew over top of rolls.
Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Then cover with foil and bake another 10 minutes. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream - ENJOY!
