Here's a Tip

I thought I would pass along a great tip for storing chicken or beef broth.

The chicken pot pie recipe I made last week makes a great broth. I tossed in some onions, parsley, garlic, celery, and bay leaves. So, instead of just throwing the extra away I froze it. All I do is pour the broth into ice cube trays and pop them in the freezer. Give them a couple hours to freeze completely and then put the cubes into a freezer bag.

Add the cubes to water when cooking rice or couscous; melt them for making gravy; add them to soups for extra flavor. I used a few of mine yesterday when I was making stuffing for my chicken and green bean casserole.
